Overview
The ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø is excited to announce the launch of the Vetted Texas Tutor Corps (VTTC), an initiative aimed at accelerating student learning through high impact tutoring, with a goal of reaching over one million students.ÌýThe VTTC is comprised of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø-Subsidized and ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø-Approved Tutoring Providers that can support the implementation of high impact tutoring as well as assist districts in meeting the statutory requirements for supplemental accelerated instruction as outlined in House Bill (HB) 4545.

ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø-Subsidized Providers
ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø-Subsidized Providers provide research-based tutoring instructional materials for grades K-8 in Math and Reading, tutoring platforms, and aligned tutor trainingsÌýat no or reduced costs for LEAs. Regional Education Service Centers (ESCs) will be partnering with these providers and LEAs to supportÌýthe recruitment and training of tutors utilizing the high-quality materials and resources.

Texas COVID Learning Acceleration Supports (TCLAS) GrantÌý
LEAs that apply to the Texas COVID Learning Acceleration Supports (TCLAS) Decision 6 will have priority access to the free licenses and training from the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø-Subsidized Providers, as well as access to up to $500,000 in grant funding to cover other tutor program costs, such as tutor labor. LEAs that do not apply for TCLAS Decision 6 will be able to access the services from these providers for free on a first come, first served basis, and then reduced prices for licenses will apply.

Once the application is submitted in TCLAS, LEA’s should also pre-registerÌýÌýfor the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø-Subsidized Providers.

Additionally, the VTTC includes a list of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø-Approved Providers that have been vetted to ensure they meet the research-based components of high impact tutoring. ÌýWhile partnering with these providers will not provide eligibility for additional TCLAS funding or ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø subsidies, the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø-Approved Provider list may assist LEAs with local procurement processes (dependent on local board policies), and LEAs may use local ESSER funding for these programs. The ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø-Approved Providers include both full-service and partial-service providers:

- Full-service providersÌýcan provide end-to-end services including instructional materials, tutoring platforms, and trained tutors
- Partial-service providersÌýcan provide singular services, typically only tutor recruitment and staffing
